From the Trans Canada Highway and Squilax, travel south across the Adams River into the North Shuswap. The number of permanent residents by census is over 1,900 and the population grows during the summer to an average of about 5,000. With an abundance of Provincial Parkland in BC Canada and the Shuswap Lake area, the North Shuswap boasts approximately 750 campsites for travelers and locals who wish to live on the lakefront for a short time. The North Shuswap is a vibrant and friendly community with many clubs and organizations building relationships through the area and improving the quality of life for residents.

Fishing the North Shuswap BC, anglers will find plenty of biting fish and tranquil clean waters from rivers and streams to the many lakes of the North Shuswap, British Columbia in Canada.

North Shuswap Lakefront varies mainly by land title, with the main difference being whether a waterfront lot is deeded freehold, or is in fact leased land. The two types of leased land existing are Native Lease and Railway Company Lease.
